If you plan on rendering video in the labs, we highly recommend using your NetID account and setting the render cache and scratch disk for the desktop.

With your NetID account, you will see significantly lower render times, higher speed averages, and run less of a risk of being logged out during the process.

Please remember to copy your files on either Box or an external hard drive before logging out. Storage on NetID accounts is wiped when the computer is rebooted.

You may need to activate Box. To do so, please log into this site, click the checkbox next to “Box (rutgers.box.com) Cloud storage platform” and then click “Activate Services.” Once you’ve activated Box, you’ll also have unlimited cloud storage. Please visit box.rutgers.edu for more information.

NOTE: Box will only work with your Rutgers NetID email and login.
