The labs will remain open throughout the break. However, the print room will be closed from December 22nd until January 3rd.
two new printers
tab_color_hp is a color laser printer. This printer has trays for letter and tabloid and had duplex capabilities. Using this printer will subtract .50 per sheet and .70 per duplex sheet.
wideformat_luster_24 is a inkjet printer that prints to a 24 inch luster roll of paper. Using this printer will subtract 2.00 per square foot from your print account.

In 1942, when computers were human and women were underestimated, a group of female mathematicians helped win a war and usher in the modern computer age. Fall 2010 marks the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII yet their story has never been told, until now.

Top Secret Rosies: The Female Computers of WWII, RT 60 minutes, c. 2010
Top Secret Rosies shares the little known story of a group of female mathematicians who did secret research for the US Army during WWII, a handful of whom went on to serve as the programmers of ENIAC, the first electronic computer. This tour of the documentary has been funded by a grant from the American Association of University Women, allowing Ms. Erickson to appear with the film.
